DRAKE POWE from Minneapolis will be our speaker. His topic is:
“Becoming a Bridge and Not a Wall; Unlocking the Grudges that Keep Us Trapped”
BIO: Drake is a trauma informed and culturally relevant certified life coach, meditation instructor, stress reduction consultant and public speaker in Minneapolis/St. Paul and all around the metro area. By utilizing yoga and grounding techniques, he teaches a relationship to agelessness and thriving in the midst of modern challenges. Stress reduces our connection to our intuition, natural wisdom and natural healing abilities. Drake supports his clients in grounding themselves by using a blend of ancient and modern tools through simple practices. In this way, we can access our inner resources that center us, even as the world changes. He demonstrates that we are then able to find nonlinear methods to de-escalate conflict. Drake has been doing meditation practice since childhood and has over 35 years experience working in supporting personal growth in the midst of life’s challenges.
You can look for his video series on both physical and mental stress reduction and de-escalation techniques on his YouTube channel: “Touching The Edge”.

~TEACHING WITH THE DOOR OPEN~
This series of teachings, as well as introduced meditation techniques, will provide the basis for Spiritual Practitioners to navigate the Complete Spiritual Path. In this first part of the series, we will focus on building a strong Spiritual Foundation. No matter where you are on the Path, whether Buddhist or otherwise, anyone from beginner to master must maintain their Spiritual Foundation. If you have a very strong foundation, your Spiritual Practice will become indestructible, leading to greater stability, and awakening itself. We will learn how to do just that.
The intent is to provide various transmissions and instructions, while keeping an eye on the goal, which is to awaken. The door to our Real Nature is never closed, even though it may seem that way. By keeping an eye on our own bright open condition, we will have some idea of what to expect as various realizations are discovered. This will give people the tools necessary for a basic practice, which can be implemented daily. Each meditation has a purpose. To understand these tools, or meditative techniques, gives people what is necessary to awaken, and awakening is the only real purpose for meditation. This will be explained in depth.
Robert Aho is a Dzogchen practitioner, someone who has experienced the Complete Spiritual Path, eventually realizing the Nature of Mind. He will bring insight into this by sharing various teachings he has received, talking about what led to this, and by recalling his Near Death Experience, which is a reflection of our Complete Spiritual Path. ‘Teaching with the door open’ means that Robert is teaching in such a way that gives people an idea of how to make yourself ready for receiving what is commonly regarded as secret or even extremely secret. Robert has said many times, “This is something that I understand very well. My own master, or Root Guru, Namkhai Norbu asked me to teach people.
