Our speaker Sunday is Vinod Gupta. He last spoke with us in 2021. His topic is “The Science of Manifestation”

Bio: Vinod Gupta worked for more than a quarter century in the pulp and paper industry with SAPPI, most recently as Manager of Pulping Research for Sappi at Cloquet. He has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Science in Paper Chemistry, and a Master’s Degree in Management.  He is now a Certified Financial Planner and a Financial Advisor who worked for three years with UBS and now eight more years with Ameriprise Financial.  He has two children. He lives in Hermantown and loves to dance, travel, garden, cross-country ski, visit National Parks, hike, read, and volunteer.

SUNDAY SPEAKER : Kristy Marie Nur Jehan Chisti

The theme for our speaker is “Rise Up Singing”.

During this experiential sermon, Nur Jehan will offer practices and songs to polish the heart. We will unearth some tools that help one to find harmony within, as within us is the place where everything alchemizes. 

This is a message ripe for our times. 

Bio:Kristy Marie Nur Jehan Chisti is a Sufi guide in the Sufi Ruhaniat International. She has been studying Sufism for 20 years and finds deep solace in the spirit of guidance alive in the moment. Over the past number of years, Nur Jehan has been traveling the world at large with this Sufi family, listening to the collective wisdom emerging in this heart path. She holds a regular circle here in Duluth, once a month at Svalja yoga, where she offers universal Kirtan, Dances of Universal Peace, and the Sufi walks.

~TEACHING WITH THE DOOR OPEN~ This series of teachings, as well as introduced meditation techniques, will provide the basis for Spiritual Practitioners to navigate the Complete Spiritual Path.  In this first part of the series, we will focus on building a strong Spiritual Foundation.  No matter where you are on the Path, whether Buddhist or otherwise, anyone from beginner to master must maintain their Spiritual Foundation.  If you have a very strong foundation, your Spiritual Practice will become indestructible, leading to greater stability, and awakening itself.  We will learn how to do just that.

The intent is to provide various transmissions and instructions, while keeping an eye on the goal, which is to awaken.  The door to our Real Nature is never closed, even though it may seem that way.  By keeping an eye on our own bright open condition, we will have some idea of what to expect as various realizations are discovered.  This will give people the tools necessary for a basic practice, which can be implemented daily.  Each meditation has a purpose.  To understand these tools, or meditative techniques, gives people what is necessary to awaken, and awakening is the only real purpose for meditation.  This will be explained in depth.
