Bio: Dawn Eve is a visionary, artist, and lifelong seker whose path has been guided by compassion, curiosity, and a deep sense of the sacred. From an early childhood moment of recognizing love beyond loss, her life has unfolded through caregiving, spiritual exploration, and meaningful encounters with teachers and traditions across many paths.

 Rooted in northern Minnesota, Dawn is now bringing her vision to life through Primal healing grounds…an emerging space for intentional community, nature-based healing, and reconnection to the divine within and between us. Her work is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and remember the sacred thread that connects us all.

March-April Food Drive: Every year we try to help out Chum with their yearly March Food Drive. This year we are changing things up a little bit. We are partnering up with Peace Church to help out our neighborhood grade school. Myers-Wilkins School, located not far from our church, is currently experiencing a crisis moment more acutely than many places in our community. Immigrant families and families in transition (those experiencing homelessness or housing instability) are a large portion of the school population. With uncertainty surrounding immigration enforcement, SNAP benefits, child care assistance, and other supports, it’s time for us to step in as good neighbors. We invite you to donate nonperishable foods. Items in need are individually wrapped snacks for the classroom, Masa, dried beans, powdered or canned milk, and canned vegetables. Debbie will deliver the items to the school.  If you want to write a check, please make it out to Debbie Gitar. Thanks. * We have a table set up in the Community Room for donations. * (We will continue to take donations through April.)

  First Sunday Meditation Mini-Retreat with Robert Aho will be on the Sunday May 3rd, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Free Will Donation Requested. Talk to Robert about future sessions.  This series of teachings, as well as introduced meditation techniques, will provide the basis for Spiritual Practitioners to navigate the Complete Spiritual Path.  More info in the flyer attached HERE.

  • The Unity Book Group’s next meeting will be  Monday April 20th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, in the Library room. The book they are currently reading is Mary Magdalene Revealed by Megan Watterson. Contact is Rick Youmans-email: thecawl@hotmail.com
  • The Law of Attraction Group’s next meeting will be Tuesday, April 21st, Starting at 1 pm.  They are reading The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent by Ester and Jerry Hicks. Please enter through the lower level door as the meetings will be in the library.  If you can’t attend in person, they will have Google Meet (it is like Zoom) available. BIO: Darci Gamerl is an oboist, English hornist, composer, and interdisciplinary artist whose work centers on the use of music and film to create meaningful, shared experiences. As co-founder of Bel Canto Duo, she collaborates with cellist and looping artist David Downing to develop immersive performances and films that integrate live music, original composition, and visual storytelling. Her work is grounded in NeuroArts, applying principles of entrainment to reduce stress and support positive physical and mental health outcomes. These ideas shape both her compositional language and her approach to film direction, resulting in projects that are intentionally structured to engage audiences on both an artistic and physiological level.
Gamerl’s recent projects include Taking Flight: The 8th Wonder of the World, a feature-length documentary and live film score exploring Sandhill crane migration and environmental change, developed in collaboration with the Crane Trust and researchers at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Additional work includes Four Cather Tableaux, commissioned by the National Willa Cather Center and later expanded into an immersive film experience with support from Joslyn Art Museum.
A frequent collaborator across disciplines, Gamerl has worked with scientists, filmmakers, and arts organizations to create projects that extend beyond the concert stage. Bel Canto Duo’s work has been presented in museums, performance venues, and community spaces, with the flexibility to perform both in traditional settings and fully off-grid environments. As a soloist, Gamerl premiered James Lee III’s Courageous Lights for English horn after organizing a national commissioning consortium, with performances alongside orchestras including the Augusta Symphony, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra, and the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra.
She is a recipient of the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award for Outstanding New Artist and has been recognized as a finalist for The American Prize in both performance and composition. Gamerl has also held residencies and collaborations with organizations including the Crane Trust, Kiewit Luminarium, and the National Willa Cather Center, with upcoming residencies in Iceland, at Tallgrass, and at Chesterwood.
