Preparing for Death: A Spiritual Discussion
Where or when do we get a chance to talk about dying? Is a Doctor’s office really the place you want to start.
Ellen is currently a Grief Counselor with Essential Hospice, Duluth. In 2015 Ellen brought the two year program, Sacred Art of Living and Dying program to Duluth where approximately 200 Essentia employees and community members have been studying. Ellen has continued her studies with Sacred Art of Living organization called the Anamcara Apprenticeship. Anamcara in Gaelic means soul friend to the dying. Prior to her time in Duluth, Ellen had her own practice, Rites of Change, creating rituals and ceremonies marking life transitions. She has been privileged to study with Shaman’s from Africa, Guatemala, and North America. She is also the facilitator of Wild Waters Insight Meditation Practice Group, here in Duluth.
